Creative Academy, Richemont Group’s post-graduate design school based in Milan, offers a unique theoretical and professional training each year to 20 young talented designers from the best design schools worldwide. The chosen material is glass; the very poetic and inspiring theme is “Under the stars”: a theme indicated by the Maison of high jewellery Van Cleef & Arpels, which every year launches an important and evocative brief for the young creative talents of the School.

Under the guidance of the Milanese design duo Eligo Studio, Alberto Nespoli and Domenico Rocca, they were asked to make specific reference in their designs to the history, architecture and decorative complex of Palazzo Litta as a cultural reference.

The projects of the young designers were realised by Simone Crestani, one of the most interesting and original glass masters on the Italian and international scene.

Franco Cologni, Honorary Chair of Creative Academy

«To be a designer the most important thing is to have heart. Without passion you cannot create art.»

Simone Crestani - Glassblowing Master

«I’m an artisan first, before being an artist. Glass working is a highly complex technique that requires years of study and extreme dedication. I was fortunate to learn this craft when I was still young. Glass chose me before I even had an idea of what I wanted to become.»
