ABOUT THE PROJECT

Designed and created under the art direction of EligoStudio, the exhibition gives life to the iconic designs created by the Master Gio Ponti thanks to an innovative multimedia scenography.

Richard Ginori offers an original new installation in the Paris museum’s Hall des Maréchaux to celebrate the launch of its new collections with an original new visual and multi-media experience in the Hall des Maréchaux. The installation is a homeage to Gio Ponti in version 2.0, emphasising his most iconographic motifs and underlining the profound link between art and Manifattura Ginori’s creativity over the years.

Visitors begin with a full immersion in the surprising world of Gio Ponti in the ground-floor Hall. Richard Ginori brings the great master’s iconic designs to life in an innovative form of video mapping on the walls and ceiling of the Hall, in an immersive, almost cinematographic experience that thrills visitors by making them feel like they are participating in Ponti’s artistic genius.

From the unique ilusionistic effect of the Prospettica motif to the magical elements of Mano della Fattucchiera, the figures ornamenting the Passeggiata Archeologica, the women on the clouds decorating the Donne e Architetture Vase, and the darting female figures in Art Deco style of Le Mie Donne, Ponti’s art and style are revealed in a timeless dimension.

Salvatore Licitra
