Art and Design dialogue at Palazzo Panitteri to create an intimate and domestic space, made precious by the choices of curator Federica Sala, who involved the architects of Eligo Studio for the interior design and the painter Edoardo Piermattei for the art installations.
The house narrates about the frame to which it belongs right from the entrance hallway, designed as a reminder of the area’s archaeological artifacts, many collected in the nearby museum. The bedroom creates a dialogue between Art and Architecture, while the bathroom recalls the village’s Arab origins: in fact, Sambuca was founded by the Arabs around 830, a few years after their landing in Sicily, and was named Zabuth, as a tribute to the Arab emir of the same name, Al-Zabut, who had a castle erected there.
